Mark Sievers for House District 45

"Be the change that you want to see in the world."  Mohandas Gandhi

Thank you for visiting my web site.  I hope that it will you will find it informative.

The Ideal Representative

Educated Businessman

not a Career Politician

  • Best and Brightest.  The House District 45 representative should be the best and brightest the district has to offer.  A representative should stand for something and not be beholden to the political status quo.  A representative should be able to articulate his/her principles and not communicate in political sound bites or simply follow the crowd.

    Mark's Conservative Principles

  • Substance.  In a typical legislative session more than 600 bills are introduced dealing with a broad range of subjects.  To be effective, a representative should have the depth of education and breadth of experience to analyze and weigh in on the economic and legal impacts of these bills.

    Mark's Background

  • Advocate.  An elected representative will not manage an office or a staff.  Indeed, a representative has no staff or individual budget.  A representative is elected to be your advocate in Denver, not a government bureaucrat.  An effective advocate should focus on issues that are important to Colorado.

Colorado Issues

Mark's Positions on Big Issues

Fundamentally, our nation is a self-governing republic.  That means it relies on its citizens to step out of their businesses and private lives, come forward and participate in government.

Our founding fathers did not intend for our legislative representatives to be dominated by a handful of political insiders and career politicians.

Mark is an economist, a lawyer and worked as a police officer and teacher.  He is a seasoned businessman who made a career opening markets to competition.  He worked as an advocate for some of the world's largest corporations and was involved in some of the largest, most complex business deals.

Unlike career politicians who claim to be business friendly, but who have never actually set up a business, Mark understands the mechanics and challenges of starting and running a business in Colorado.

He regularly advises and advocates for small businesses regarding the day-to-day requirements of starting and running a business.

Mark has the education and experience to understand and address the issues that confront Colorado.

Where is House District 45?
